The "Don't Go Meshing My Heart" is a made to measure pattern and is constructed using a mesh stitch and a heart motif. It includes 2 panels and set-in sleeves. The pattern is worked flat for the front and back.
The back panel is worked first then the front. These panels are then seamed together. The sleeve is worked directly onto the armhole to "set-in" the sleeves, then joined in the round for working the length. The bottom frill is added and a SC border is worked around the neckline.
Now a little story on the name...
"Don't go Meshing My heart" is a pun since the heart motif is actually not mesh, but "You could, if you try".
"Don't Go Meshing My Heart, [but] You Could If You Try" inverting your stitches, so that the main blouse is DC and the heart is mesh.Isn't that cute? 😆
